  • Our services are about 60 minutes in length. We work hard to make it the best hour of your week.

In-Person: Come a few minutes early to grab a cup of coffee from our Overflow Coffee Stop and drop the kids off at KidsPoint.

Online: You can preview our messages and get a sneak peek of what goes on at The Point by visiting our YouTube channel or simply going to the ON|Demand section of our website.

  • Sundays at The Point are exciting, casual, and relaxed. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest.

  • Wear something comfortable and expect to see people dressed just like you! Some of us dress up a little, and some of us dress very casually. It's the weekend - come as you like.

  • Children, from birth through Grade 5 get to enjoy KidsPoint. We not only love kids, but kids love The Point Church. We've got an incredible program during our Sunday morning services.

Oneighty Youth exists to help students take steps in discovering God and owning their faith. Through our weekly experiences, both on Sunday mornings and Tuesday nights, special events, and a focus on small groups, we believe that we will be able to help students navigate this world with a firm foundation of who Jesus sees them as.

Check out our Families page for more information.

  • We're going above and beyond with cleaning and sanitizing our buildings and keeping them a top priority.

  • Masks are not mandatory but they are welcomed. Please respect people's choice to wear or not wear a mask.

  • You'll be greeted by some friendly people and be offered a cup of hot coffee ($1 donation - proceeds go to our Dominican Republic Mission). A typical Sunday service consists of 60 minutes of inspiration. It will feel a lot more like a wedding reception than a formal ceremony or traditional ritual. You won't need to know what to say, any secret signs, or things to recite. There will be some music, some videos, a practical message full of hope, and often a couple of other surprises to keep things interesting!

  • We use music to worship and inspire. You’ll hear a variety of music at The Point Church - everything from familiar hymns to modern worship music. From time to time, you’ll hear familiar radio songs that connect with the message we’re presenting.

  • Nothing…sit back, relax, and enjoy the service. Engage fully or simply observe.

  • Zero! Zip! Zilch! Nada! There is no obligation from us to give, but those who call The Point Church home give to God through the church to help us bring a message of hope to our communities and beyond. If you would like to partner with us, visit our GIVING page.

  • Absolutely! We have a lot of people who join us each week who grew up in different religions and denominations or who have no religious background or beliefs whatsoever. We have people who grew up Jewish, Catholic, Presbyterian, Pentecostal, United, etc. Everyone is welcome!

  • The Point Church is a member of the Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada. To find out more about our CBAC family, visit their website HERE.

FAQ’S

  • We value celebration over ceremony - we’re passionate, excited, and inspired! Our gatherings are not about formality but about authenticity.

We value relationship over rituals - we were built for a relationship with Jesus, and we need real relationships with each other.

We value progress over preference - we can have change without growth, but we can’t have growth without change; things change here all the time, and we’re hoping you are ready for a change too!

We value an outward focus over an inward one - Jesus was all about others, and He challenges us to be others-focused as well.

We value serving over sitting - we were created to do good works, and we believe the best way to serve God is by serving others.

We value giving over keeping - we believe we could never out-give God and that we are blessed to be a blessing; we see that the more we let go, release, and give, the more blessings come our way!

We value identifying what we’re for over what we’re against - we know there are terrible things out there, but we don’t want to give the evils of this world all the attention; we want to be known first for what we are for. (Romans 8:31, Romans 5:8)

  • We believe that God loves you, no matter who you are or what you've done. We believe that there is room for everyone in the family of God, and we believe that God wants to have a real, vibrant, growing relationship with you.

We believe the Bible is God's Word to all people and that it is relevant in our daily lives.

We believe in One God, expressed in the Trinity as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe that each member of the Trinity possesses equal power and authority.

We believe that Jesus lived a perfect life, died for us on the cross, and defeated death in His resurrection so that we could have life. We believe it is through His blood alone that our sins are forgiven, and we are able to obtain salvation.

We believe that the church is the hope of the world and that we are called to gather together as a body of believers. We believe that participation is crucial to the growth of our church and the growth of those in our church. We believe God has equipped each of us with unique gifts and skill sets that He wants us to put to use.

We believe that the church exists for people who are far from God, so we invite our people to constantly be inviting the people closest to them so all can experience the life-changing message of Jesus.

We see it as a privilege to give back to God what He has so freely given to us. We celebrate generosity.

We believe that participation in small groups is the best way to build community and foster spiritual growth.
