At The Point Church we put our priority into helping as many people discover God and then help them own their faith. We believe everyone has a story and every story matters to God.
Focused in Miramichi, New Brunswick, Canada our values and beliefs make The Point Church unique in a way where we want everyone to feel like they can belong.
We value Celebration over Ceremony. We’re passionate, excited, and inspired! Our gatherings are not about formality but about authenticity.
We value Relationship over Rituals. We were built for a relationship with Jesus and we need real relationships with each other.
We value Progress over Preference. We can have change without growth, but we can’t have growth without change; things change here all the time, and we are hoping you are ready for a change too!
We value an outward focus over and inward one. Jesus was all about others and He challenges us to be others-focused as well.
We value identifying what we’re for over what we’re against. We know there are terrible things out there, but we don’t want to give the evils of this world all the attention; we want to be known first for what we are for. (Romans 8:31, Romans 5:8)
We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in the pursuit of discovering God and owning your faith.
We believe in One God, expressed in the Trinity as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe that each member of the Trinity possesses equal power and authority.
We believe the Bible is God's Word to all people and that it is relevant in our daily lives.
We believe that Jesus lived a perfect life, died for us on the cross, and defeated death in His resurrection so that we could have life. We believe it is through His blood alone that our sins are forgiven, and we are able to obtain salvation.
We believe in salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus was sent by God to save us and give us eternal life. Salvation is only possible through faith in Jesus and repentance of our sins. We understand that we are saved through grace and not by any works of our own. The Bible teaches us that no matter what mistakes we make, God’s love and grace are always available to us. We believe that through accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are able to have the assurance of salvation and the promise of eternal life with God.
We believe in the importance of baptism. Baptism symbolizes a believer's commitment to Jesus and His teachings, and is an outward act of confessing our faith in Him. We believe that baptism is essential to Christian discipleship, and it is a beautiful way to proclaim our allegiance to Jesus. Baptism is a sacred and meaningful experience, and we are deeply committed to helping believers celebrate this important milestone in their journey of faith. By celebrating and honoring baptism, we are proclaiming our faith in Jesus and our desire to serve Him and others.
We believe that the church is the hope of the world and that we are called to gather together as a body of believers. We believe that participation is crucial to the growth of our church and the growth of those in our church. We believe God has equipped each of us with unique gifts and skill sets that He wants us to put to use.
We believe that the church exists for people who are far from God, so we invite our people to constantly be inviting the people closest to them so all can experience the life-changing message of Jesus.
We believe in the power of prayer, both individually and corporately, as an expression of faith in God's work in our lives. Prayer is an essential part of a Christian life and is used to talk to God and to communicate with Him. Praying helps us grow closer to God and to gain a better understanding of His will and how we can best serve Him. Prayer is a beautiful and powerful way to communicate with our Heavenly Father and to seek His love and guidance.
We see it as a privilege to give back to God what He has so freely given to us. We celebrate generosity.
We believe that participation in small groups is the best way to build community and foster spiritual growth.
